NEW MEXICO HISTORY CONFERENCE

April 25-27, 2024

The annual New Mexico History Conference is the signature event of the Historical Society of New Mexico, with sessions exploring the complex history and diverse cultures of New Mexico and the Southwest borderlands. The conference is open to anyone interested in stories of the Southwest, from ancient to more recent times.

The Conference format allows an easy interchange between academics, grassroots and professional historians, writers, preservationists, students, and others. Conference sessions run in 90-minute blocks Friday morning and afternoon and on Saturday morning.

Book vendors and exhibits will be open for browsing all day Friday and on Saturday morning. Conference attendees will have choices of local area tours and museum visits on Saturday afternoon.
